Be careful shopping this Christmas season!

Yesterday I received a email from a computer parts store and they were advertising a 1 GB USB flash drive for $4.99 after rebate. The deal also included some internet security software. Now that may sound like a great deal, but the rebate was $85, meaning you pay upfront about $100. A quick search on this site and you would find the same flash drive for only $22 and no rebates. Now, I prefer a no rebates deal as rebates can many times be rejected for some odd reason.
That said, when you do shop online be sure to check out the store's reputation at Bizrate or Reseller Ratings. Also check the website you are looking at to see if their bundles really do save you money. Most often they do, but sometimes they don't. Use a comparison shopping tool like Froogle to find the best deal on the item you are looking for.

So this Christmas season, don't be duped. Investigate before you buy!
