Looking for family craft ideas, games, recipes, etc.?

With all the tech we have in our lives, it's fun to get back to basics with our families. Playing Monopoly, Candyland, or some game outside can be a great way to build strong relationships with your family. My wife likes to go to the website Family Fun to find crafts and other ideas for family fun. I think this website has some great ideas for family fun and is worth checking out (and also VBS, Sunday School, etc.) As a teenager, my family would go to local lakes, state parks, and hike, have a picnic, or fish. I have so many memories from those times in my life. Our families need that too. My family will go hiking, have a picnic, and take walks as a family to help build strong relationships and great memories. It's also a great way to talk about creation and God as you are in the outdoors. Teenagers will be sometimes quite difficult when it comes to family fun, but it's so important to keep at it with them as you will see a return in that investment in the months and years to come. My children are still young and they get excited over anything, but in time that excitement will pass and I'll have a teenager that will be less enthusiastic for family nights. Don't give up on family nights, you'll need to be creative with what you do. Your family will appreciate it!
So when was the last time your family had a family night? What was the last time your family made a memory? Why not try something new this summer and make one night a week your family night? This summer get back to basics with your family and leave the tech alone.
