A healthy spiritual appetite.

Do you remember when your mom said you couldn't eat that candy bar because you would spoil your dinner? Mom knew that if you ate that candy bar, you'd not be hungry for your dinner. Who wants to miss those great meals that Mom makes?!
My point is rather simple. We need to have a healthy spiritual appetite. Well, what would spoil our appetites? Sleep, work, ministry, the internet, TV, hobbies, etc. can all take time away from our spiritual feedings or rather our personal devotions. I am sure we would all be amazed at how few people in our churches actually spend an adequate amount of time having personal devotions. Sometimes, we just don't have the time because we've allowed other things to take away and spoil our devotions. The devil loves when you and I spoil our spiritual feedings, because it makes us sick and weak as believers.
It is high time as servants of the Lord that we make sure our personal devotions take 1st place and not 3rd or 4th place in our schedules. Stay spiritually healthy this week and you'll be amazed at what it will do for you!
